The Problem-Solver

Writer's picture: Emma PearsonEmma Pearson

The Five with a Six wing has been called 'The Problem-Solver'. Both the Five and the Six are 'head' Types so this mix makes for someone who does a lot of thinking. As a result this is perhaps the most 'cerebral' of all the subtypes and the one that is most associated with the Five as they tend to be drawn to science, philosophy or technical subjects, focussing in on facts and details. These are the analysts and intellectuals who have the ability to dissect problems (and things) to find out how they work, or don't, and to come up with solutions. These are people who are very interested in the 'why?' of everything. Healthy people of this subtype have great clarity of thought and a talent for piecing together disparate facts into meaningful conclusions and then making predictions based on those conclusions, Their quest for understanding often leads them to master a particular skill or discipline and to become experts in their field.
